Biggest Moon of the Year

I didn't have a tripod so it's a bit blurry

Greys Harbor Light House, the tallest in the state of Washington. We're standing on the stairs that go up to the top. Ella an Ehan are too small to be able to climb the stairs.

This tuna weighed 19lbs. We now have a lot of tuna in the freezer and had some for dinner tonight.

We, or mostly Dick, have started painting. He's doing the beige first and then will do the teal. We'll both be painting next week.

Ethan and Ella
Brian, Lorin,Ethan and Ella arrived last evening and will be here for the weekend. We had a nice dinner of shish ka bob and grilled veggies and finished off with marshmallows and smores over the fire.
Brian and Ethan roasting marshmallows
Brian enjoying his roasted marshmallow. The park has very innovative fire pits that work very well. They are recycled laundry tubs from washers. Each site has one. Not sure where they got that many from.

A Foggy Day at the Coast

When the inland temperatures go up and they meet with the cooler air off the ocean it creates a big fog bank at the coast. As soon as you drive inland a bit it all clears up. Keeps it nice and cool anyway.

The little fishing village of Westport. It's fun to get an ice cream and sit and just watch the marina which runs the length of the town all beyond the fence on the right. That's where we get our fresh tuna and just enjoy watching the boats. We ride our bikes down here frequently just to see what's going on, it's just a short ride from our RV park.

Brian,Lorien, Ella and Ethan are coming tomorrow to snd the weekend. Hope the sun peeks out just a little.

We left Westport on July 29 and spent 3 days at Camp Disappointment State Park about 2 hours south of Westport close to the OR border. We had to dig out our warmest clothes because it was cold and windy there. The park is located at the place where Lewis and Clark ended their 3 year voyage to get to the Pacific Ocean. There are 27 miles of beaches, 2 lighthouses, hiking and lots of great flat roads to bike on.
There have been  lot of bears in the park this year but they seem to stay away from the campers
This engine washed up on the beach from a boat that must have sunk. It surely must have been one huge wave that brought that thing up on the beach.

Flying Pelicans

This mama bird built a nest under the roof of a gift shop for one of the lighthouses.
I just happened to catch her coming with some food for the baby
